Your Business and Marcellus Shale: Voices of Experience
Just a word about the webinar series from Penn State about The Marcellus Shale exploration. The last several Wednesdays have been really interesting. As the host site for the webinar, we have been able listen to business success stories and gas companies present via the webinar. During the local presentation time it is clear that growing numbers of local business owners are beginning to realize the tremendous opportunity the Marcellus Shale play will bring to their businesses.
Steinbacher & Stahl are on top of the opportuities that the lease process is providing. Our clients are calling to let us know they are considering a lease, or have already signed. Great! We are able to draft a suitable trust that will protect the income as well as the property from the costs associated with long term health care expenses. Contrary to what people may believe, a Limited Liability Company (LLC) does not protect against the cost of nursing home care or in home care. Anyone who has leased their land for gas wells, or who is considering a lease needs to talk to us about protecting both the income and the land.
